COUPLES THERAPY

Couple therapy can help you improve your relationship satisfaction.  Every couple faces conflicts and challenges. Sometimes communication becomes difficult, small issues escalate into big fights, distance or loneliness develops. Avoidance of conflict may become a way to cope. Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT-C) is a research validated method of helping couples resolve relationship conflicts, improve emotional communication, and increase intimacy.

Together, we can explore how your relationship works at an emotional level.  We can look at how reactive emotions and negative cycles interfere with understanding and productive communication.  With encouragement and skill, you can express needs, cultivate understanding, heal old hurts and deepen your connection. You can create new, positive ways of engaging that will strengthen your emotional bond, build resilience when coping with conflicts, and increase satisfaction.
